LETS THINK DIFFERENT



What if i tell you that the things you have been seeing, hearing and believing all this time is wrong. Lets jump straight to the point of this blog. In India, eating meat is not as popular as many other foreign countries. In many countries, it is believed that eating meat is what is going to make you strong. Is that correct? Lets see.


I got the idea for this blog from a documentary about meat versus plant based diets, not only for normal people, but for athletes. I also did some research about this topic on various sources. All the doctors and many athletes had one thing to say- "meat isn't the best thing to eat".  So lets compare meat and plants.


1] Meat has high cholesterol whereas has plants do not. Plants actually help you reduce cholesterol.

2] Meats have very high amount of unhealthy fats which does not do any good to the body. On the other hand, plants help you cut down fat and add good cholesterol to your body.

3] Eating meat causes the death of thousands of animals but eating plants does not. It adds to the economy through income of agricultural produce which harmless to the nature.

4]Meat does not have as much health benefits as plants have. Not even close!

5] Eating meat for a long time is the most common reason for heart disease as the fat present in the meat circulates in the blood and may cause blockage which would lead to heart attacks. Plant diets help clear that blockage and improve the blood quality and heart health.


You might say, "what about the protein"?

Well, where did the animal you are eating get the protein from, Plants!! Plants have a good amount of protein. Plant protein is way easier to digest compared to animal protein. Eating chickpeas would not make your tummy ache and send you to the doctor, the meat will.


These facts have been scientifically proven and are not just theories.

Broccoli has more protein per calorie than steak and has almost no fat whereas steak is going to make you fat.


Now you might say" what are the carnivorous animals,they eat meat"

well, carnivorous animals have more acidic conditions in their stomach which can easily break down the fats and proteins. Also, they do not have an ability to digest plants. This could damage their body. 

Scientists say that a human body can stay fitter and healthier if it does not have to digest meat, because its not designed for that. Yes, we might have adapted to it, but the plants will give the best benefits without any cons.

This was about the common people, What about the athletes? Can they benefit from plants? Lets hear from them.

There are many such athletes who chose to eat the plant based diet and benefit from it. They experience that it reduces their cholesterol, helps them cut down fat and build healthy muscles more easily.

You must have heard of the world famous bodybuilder and actor Arnold Swarznegger. He survived on the animal based diet as during his time, there was not much knowledge about whether meat is good or bad. But later when he had all the health problems, he decided to go on a plant based diet. All those problems disappeared, he said.



A world renowned athlete says that plants are better to eat. He has more knowledge about it, so of course, we should rely on a plant based diet.




What i mean to say is, whatever you get from animals, plants have all of it because the animals got it from plants or from other animals who got it from plants.

There are many other athletes who switched to a plant based diet and got amazing results.


This is John Venus, he is a world renowned professional bodybuilder. 

He says that he was able to lose more fat and gain more muscle faster after he switched to a plant based diet.


This is Kendrick Farris, a power lifter who is actually vegan. He does not eat any meat and promotes a 100% plant based diet for strength and health.

You need strength for lifting such heavy weights, if you can get it from plants, why slaughter animals?

The logical fact is, the animal which got the protein from the plant, it digested some of it is got removed from the body. It used some of it stored in the muscles and what we get is a small percentage of protein. If we eat plant based diet, we can get the hundred percent of that protein. An ox is a very strong animal with a high muscle mass, does an ox eat meat?


So, why do people eat meat?

A very strong thing in our society which has influenced many people .The advertisement for meat started a long time ago, where they used slogans like " meat is what a man eats"or " the lion eats meat too" or "you look more of a man with meat in your plate."

These slogans has hidden the true face of meat and what it does to your body.
