HOW I BEFRIENDED GINGER   You are probably wondering who 'ginger' is? Well, she is a stray cat who arrived at my home one day. She was hungry, thirsty, scared and shivering. She was so scared, she would not let me go near her and help her. She kept meowing at me loudly as if asking for help. I sat down cross-legged in front of her and spoke to her in a calm and soft voice. That seemed to calm her nerves.  I had no cat food available at home and i could not get out of my house due to the current covid situation. I had nothing to give her but some milk and water. I gave her some milk. she was so hungry, she did not take a minute to lick that bowl empty. She kept meowing at me after she had the milk. I guess she wanted more, so i gave her another bowl of milk. She licked that off in a minute too.  She is a really talkative cat and would keep meowing at me to get my attention. She cautiously came a little close to me to sniff ...

STOP THIS CRUELTY!!!!!!!!!!   Shakespeare once said-   " Hell is empty, the devil roams this earth" It is true, the devils live among us, harming not just humans, but innocent creatures who have never done any harm to anyone or anything!!! They were brutally killed, beaten. Not just for money, but for fun. not just at the slaughterhouses, but on the streets. It fills me with sorrow when i see, hear or read a news about how animals are being killed by people for fun. It is not human to call this fun. It is not human to stay quiet about this either, we need to raise our voice, against such criminals, against people who simply do not care about an innocent life, against the current laws against animal cruelty in India. I could not help myself but search it up online, what are the punishments given to such heartless people. I was baffled by the answer. The current punishment given to some one who kills, beats, kicks, o...

A GUIDE TO HELP THE STRAY ANIMALS   All of us want to help the poor stray animals that wander our streets, hungry and thirsty. i asked a few people- why don't you help the stray animals? the answers i got seemed genuine- "What if they bite me, i don't want to catch rabies"                                                                    "What if i catch some kind of infection, who knows where the animals have been"                 "Have you seen those horns and teeth, oh dear, i would never dare to go close." I have the answer to each of these problems. different animals have a different nature. lets start with the most common stray animal in India- dogs Most dogs are generally friendly, but there are some who might be unusually aggre...

RAISING OUR VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS             We all hear on social media and various other information sources that there are crimes being committed against humans. children being kidnapped, people being killed and what not. All of us raise our voices in some or the other manner to help and fight for people who fall victims to such things. This shows that humans are compassionate and understand other people's feelings. but.... there are other beings who cannot raise voice for themselves and not many people are raising theirs for them. yes, i am talking about the voiceless animals who have now become vulnerable in their own homes. just think about it, you are peacefully sleeping in your home, your habitat and suddenly, people come and start destroying your home, hurting your  friends and family and locking you up in a cage to take you to a prison....
